Christine Gittins Ceramics

Christine Gittins has lived and worked as a potter in Wales since 1993. She recently moved to Llantwit Major. The beautiful Glamorgan Heritage Coast has been the inspiration for some of her most recent work.
Her pots are all thrown on the wheel in earthenware clay and fired in an electric kiln. She uses coloured clay, textures and unglazed surfaces set off against glazed areas to create work in her own recognisable style.
She also makes small figurative sculptures, wall pieces consisting of small assembled textured tiles and statement necklaces.
